The Business Forum "Israeli Business in Georgia - 2013" will take place on the 8th of December 2012 at 7.30pm at Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel. Israeli companies will present more than 50 business projects which are implemented in Georgia in real estate, tourism, agriculture, communications and other sectors. It is worth mentioning that Sotheby's accepted the initiative of the Israel-Georgia Chamber of Business to enter the Georgian market and they will also participate in the forum.

The representatives of Israel and Georgian government and private sector will attend the event. The President of the Israel-Georgia Chamber of Business Mr. Itsik Moshe has already received congratulation letters from the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu and from the Secretary General of the Labor Party.

"Dear members of Israel-Georgia Chamber of Business, I am convinced that in coming years you will continue to strengthen, encourage and broaden these activities for the mutual benefit of Israel and Georgia and their people."

"We believe that Your experience - over 20 years representative of Jewish world and Israel in several countries, will be used to establish a solid economic bridge between Israel and Georgia. On our part we will continue to encourage and support development of economic relations between the two countries."

The official part of the Forum "Israeli Business in Georgia - 2013" will start on the 7th of December at 12pm and will last till the 9th of December. Business meetings will be held with the representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Sustanable Development and the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia.

The Business Forum coincides with the Jewish holiday of "Hanukah", also known as the "Festival of Lights". During the Forum the 1st candle of Hanukah will be lightened.

From the 8th of December during 8 days, in Israel and worldwide Jewish people celebrate Hanukah and kindle 8 candles. Hanukah is celebrated to commemorate the victory of Judah Maccabee's small army over occupying large army of the enemy. Thanks to that victory the Jews regained control over Jerusalem and rededicated the Holy Temple in Jerusalem. Hanukah symbolizes resistance of small nations and their fight for their national liberation and religious freedom.

The President of Israel-Georgia Chamber of Business Mr. Itsik Moshe welcomes the Georgian Government initiative which means co-participation of Georgian Funds in foreign investment projects. He believes that this initiative will encourage Israeli companies to continue their business activities in Georgia, will stimulate potential investors and will attract new investments.
