Today, at the Georgian Prime Minister's instruction, Business Ombudsman Giorgi Gakharia met President of the Israel-Georgia Chamber of Business Itsik Moshe. Discussions focused on the issues relating to the widely-publicised case of the Israeli investors - Meir Shavit and his companies.

"We agreed that, on our part, we'll pay much more attention to how the tax inspection process is moving ahead, why it has been drawn out for such a long time, and we'll do our utmost, within the scope of our competence, to convince the Revenue Service, based on our recommendations, of the need to promptly resolve the issue " - Giorgi Gakharia is quoted as saying following the meeting.
